Dave East Says He’s Going Back To Basketball If J Cole Joins NBA
Dave East Says If J Cole Makes The NBA He’s “Getting Back Into This Sh*t”
Over the weekend, Master P revealed that J Cole has been seriously training in hopes of starting a new career in the NBA. “I talked to J. Cole, he was like ‘You know, big dawg you did it. What do you think I would have to do to make it happen?’ I said to get one of these NBA jerseys, it’s not gonna be easy,” P told TMZ.
“It’s gonna be a lot of hate, it’s gonna be a lot of people not believing in you but you know J. Cole, he got the right size, he in the gym.”
He continued, “They’ve been putting their whole life into this. So, you’re gonna have to prove you’re worthy of being on that court. I believe in him and I believe that he’s a youngster that has a lot of desire.”
Not long after the revelation, Detroit Pistons showed interest in signing the Dreamville honcho. “Hit us up for that tryout. This is for all the dreamers @bleacherreport #Dreamville.” They went as far as posting a mock-up of J Cole’s jersey with number ’15’ on it.
It appears Jermaine has tipped other rappers of an NBA to opportunity. Those who had NBA dreams before becoming rappers might be considering taking the same step including Dave East.
Dave is promising that he’ll get back in the gym if he hears Jermaine Cole got picked up by an NBA team. “I’mma tell y’all right now on here today and this is my word,” East said on Complex’s Load Management podcast. “If J. Cole go to the NBA, I’m getting back into this shit immediately!”
“I’m not knockin’. I’m sure he probably dead nice but if that’s a rumor and then we wake up and they like, ‘The Chicago Bulls picked up Jermaine Cole,’ I’mma get in the gym that day,” East continued. “I’m callin’ Brickley that day. I need work outs, you heard?”
“If J. Cole go to the NBA, I’m getting back into this sh*t IMMEDIATELY…” @DaveEast says he’s going back to basketball if hears ‘the Chicago Bulls just picked up Jermaine Cole.’ 😂
