Joe Biden Picks Kamala Harris As His Vice President
Kamala Harris Chosen As Joe Biden’s Running Mate
People have been speculating on who Joe Biden will choose as his vice president, however, he’s finally announced his presidential running mate, naming Kamala Harris, a lawyer and politician serving as the junior United States Senator from California since 2017.
Kamala Devi Harris is a member of the Democratic Party, Harris is the second African American woman and the first Indian American to serve in the United States Senate.
Initially, Joe’s team was reported to have been shying away from Harris as the official pick, stating that she is “overly ambitious” and “potentially disloyal to a Biden presidency.” A document was sent to Biden, urging the Presidential hopeful to select a Black female VP, signed by Diddy, Charlamagne Tha God, and more, and it looks like he listened.
I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris — a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants — as my running mate.

“I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris — a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants — as my running mate,” wrote Biden on Twitter.
Harris would become the first female, first Black and first Asian-American vice president in history if eventually elected. And this is also a good news for her supporters who were disappointed after she dropped out of the race.
So far, everyone seems to be pleased with the announcement. Congratulations to her !
