Drug Dealing Pair Arrested After Police Discover 21 Kilograms Of Carfentanil, Enough To Kill 50 Million People

The suspects, identified as Andres Jesus Morales,30, and Christine Ponce,23, were charged with four counts of felony possession for sales of fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin.

Authorities said in a statement that the drug, Carfentanil, is 100 times more powerful than fentanyl and is used to sedate an elephant and other large animals.

The amount of the drug would be enough to kill 50 million people if it was mixed with the other drugs found in the home. According to the Daily Mail, Riverside County Officer Ryan J. Railsback said drug dealers would often lace the drugs with the synthetic opioid to give it a stronger buzz.

This illustration shows the fatal doses of heroin, fentanyl, and carfentanil. Police in Canada created the visual to demonstrate the miniscule amount of carfentanil needed to kill a person

‘It would be bad business if they’re trying to kill off all your clients, but they aren’t trying to kill off all their clients, they’re trying to bring them back.

The amount of fentanyl you need to kill you is so small that they are literally playing the surface of the sun when it comes to the amount,’

Railsback added that the raid has saved the lives of unsuspecting people who would’ve consumed the drug.

‘That is one less death really. There are so many people that are overdosing and eventually dying over there use of fentanyl. It’s unreal.’
