Keyshia Cole Happily Shares That She Has Black, Asian & White Ancestry

R&B singer Keyshia Cole is officially “mixed race,” and she’s VERY happy about it. Yesterday, Keyshia got her 23 and Me results back, and they show that she has Black, Asian and White ancestry.

“Wow! Is all I will say. So happy I found this out. What are you guys thoughts????? So regardless of who my father is, I kno where I come from. #Gang 😎”

The singer continued, “I knew these flaps over my eyes was different… all these years I wanted to kno what I was mixed with to get to kno myself a little more.”

According to her results, Keyshia is less than 50% Black. She’s about a quarter Asian and a quarter White.

Keyshia is a singer, songwriter and television personality. Her career began when she met MC Hammer at the age of 12, and later met rapper Tupac Shakur.

At the age of 15, she moved to Los Angeles and was later introduced to A&M Records. She released her debut album, The Way It Is (2005), which spawned five singles: “Never”, “I Changed My Mind”, “(I Just Want It) To Be Over”, “I Should Have Cheated”, and “Love”.




It was certified gold within 17 weeks, and then platinum just eight weeks later. The album stayed on the charts for over a year, selling over 1.6 million copies.
