20-Year-Old Student Unaware Of Pregnancy Gives Birth While Getting Ready For A Night Out

South Hampton student Jess Davis recently went viral on TikTok after sharing her experiences with unexpectedly giving birth while using the toilet. She says she was getting ready for a night out with friends when the unforeseen event occurred.

Davis’ signs of pregnancy were very minimal. Only dealing with slight nausea, she continued with her busy life, including studying for a history and politics degree and having an active social life.

There was very little weight gain, no baby bump, and her period had a history of being inconsistent.

“My periods have always been irregular, so I didn’t notice,” she told The Independent. “When he was born, it was the biggest shock of my life– I thought I was dreaming at first. I didn’t realize what had happened until I heard him cry. It suddenly hit me that I need to grow up now.”

As the initial shock subsided, Davis and her mother were more than happy with the new edition to the family.

“My mom is the best person in the world,” the 20-year-old spoke of her mother’s support. “She’s over the moon to be a grandma.”

She is now taking steps to transfer to a university closer to her family to receive help with child care while still receiving an education.
