Lebron James is speaking out on the events surrounding WNBA star Brittney Griner.

James says Brittney has been in captivity for way too long without the U.S. bringing her home. He also suggest that if he were her, he’d question returning to America.

James made the comments during the latest taping of “The Shop” when the conversation apparently turned to the incarcerated basketball star who was arrested in Russia after authorities said they found vape cartridges with cannabis oil in her bag.

Britney recently pled guilty to the charges and is facing up to 10 years in a Russian prison. Last week, Brittney Griner’s coach made an interesting comment about the players incarceration in Russia.

Vanessa Nygaard, ad coach of the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury, put out the notion that Brittney would’ve already been back in the US by now is she were LeBron James.

“If it was LeBron, he’d be home, right? Vanessa asked. It’s a statement about the value of women. It’s a statement about the value of a black person. It’s a statement about the value of a gay person. All of those things. We know it, and so that’s what hurts a little more.”
