Soulja Boy Owes $1M In Back Taxes & Unable To Pay Ex Girlfriend $236K For Assaulting Her
Soulja Boy Accused Of Owing $1M In Back Taxes, Now Unable To Pay Ex GF $236K For Assaulting Her
Soulja Boy just might be the first rapper accused of owing $1M in back taxes. The rapper’s financial situation was reportedly revealed in court as he allegedly owes the IRS a 7-figure debt and doesn’t own the home he currently lives in.
According to documents obtained by Radar Online, Soulja is asking that the court reconsider a $236k balance indebted to punitive damages regarding his ex-girlfriend, Kayla Myers.
If you remember, a jury ruled in Myers’ favor of assaulting her at a house party. Myers also claims Soulja punched her in the head and instructed his assistant to tie her up with an extension cord.

The rapper and his assistant reportedly wouldn’t let her leave until she performed a sexual act on him.
In court, Soulja reportedly had to break his earnings down in detail, explaining that despite his “Soulja Boy Tellem” hit single making millions, earning $10-$50K per show, and marketing off of products like sneakers, cologne and game consoles that he still believes the punitive damage balance should be thrown out.
Soulja’s lawyers reasoned that the rapper also did not perform during the pandemic due to his inability to perform.
The rapper also admitted that even if all of his assets, including his luxury properties and cars were liquidated, he still could not pay his ex-girlfriend back in punitive damages. Soulja is not backing down on the matter.
