High School Employee Caught On Video Punching Student On School Bus Arrested For Assault

We previously reported on a story showing video footage of a former Conroe ISD Bus aide attacking a 17-year-old student. The incident left the student in the hospital.

Well, it looks like the police have arrested the man. According to documents obtained by KPRC, Donald Tisdel has been charged with assault with bodily injury.

He is scheduled for a hearing at the Montgomery County Jail on Friday. In the video, Tisdel can be seen verbally arguing with the student seated at the rear end of the bus. On Tisdel’s arrest warrant, he told officers the student pushed him and put his hands on him and that is when the fight started.

The surveillance then picked up a clip of Tisdel stating “put your hands on me, that’s what I want you to do” right before the student came to the front of the bus and as Tisdel stated,hit him in the chest.

Furthermore, Tisdel can be seen using a plastic bottle in his hand to strike the student in the head multiple times following the student falling to the floor of the bus with his hands up in a protective position.

With the arrest warrant mentioning the video appearing to show little to no assault by the student during the incident like Tisdel claimed, and visible bloody lacerations to the students’ face Tisdel was taken into custody.

Word on the student following Tisdel’s arrest has not been released yet.
