Racist Dollar General Mass Shooter Was Able To Buy Guns Despite Previously Being Admitted To Mental Facility

There are new released evidence on the mass shooter responsible for taking 3 black lives in a Jacksonville Dollar General, Ryan Palmeter.

He was reportedly still able to legally purchase firearms despite his past involuntary mental health exam—these were the same guns he used in the racially motivated incident.

According to documents obtained by Radar Online, Palmeter, 24, was reportedly taken to a mental hospital against his will for an initial evaluation for 72 hours back in 2017.

However, because he was not requested to be held past that time frame, he was free to purchase firearms in the future.

If you remember, we previously reported on a press release with a statement from Jacksonville Sheriff, T.K. Waters. Waters noted the dealers― Wild West Guns and Orange Park Gun and Pawn — followed proper procedures.

Waters also revealed Palmeter had no criminal record. “He was just completely irrational, but with his irrational thoughts, he knew what he was doing. He was 100 percent lucid,” he added.

The sheriff shared photos of the guns used in the shooting, one of which appeared to have swastikas on it.
