Mother Mourns After Her 16-Year-Old Daughter Was Fatally Stabbed By Another 16-Year-Old Inside McDonald’s

A 16-year-old girl was fatally stabbed inside of a McDonalds in Northwest D.C.

The victim was reportedly stabbed by another teenage girl who has been arrested and charged with second degree murder.

According to a release from the Metropolitan Police Department, the victim, Naima Liggon, was taken to a hospital after the incident occurred early around 2am in the morning in a private vehicle.

After life-saving efforts, she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.

After an initial investigation, police believe that the stabbing occurred both inside and outside of the McDonald’s. When police got ahold of the suspect, the knife was reportedly in her possession.

Details of the story continue to develop. Liggon’s mother said Naima was an “amazing daughter, sister and friend.”

A curfew for minors aged 16 and younger starts in the district on Friday, September 1st.
