Body Of Woman Who Disappeared After Boarding Riverboat Cruise Found In Mississippi River

This story is absolutely heartbreaking. A mother has confirmed the worst news imaginable. The body of her 21-year-old daughter was located in the Mississippi River.

According to ABC News, 21-year-old Tamia Taylor’s body was discovered Saturday on the West Memphis side of the river.

She was last seen Saturday, September 9th getting on a riverboat cruise to celebrate her 21st birthday. She was with co-workers at the time but they say they lost sight of her.

Her mother, Debra Taylor, had been in contact with the police the entire time during the search for her daughter. Police couldn’t identify the body at the time of discovery and could only confirm that the victim was a black woman.

It wasn’t until her mother confirmed her identity that police were certain. More details surrounding her death are still to come.
