San Francisco Man Arrested For Allegedly Dismembering His Fiancé

A former elected San Francisco Republican is now accused of murdering his fiancé and dumping her body along a shoreline.

According to The San Francisco Standard, Joseph C. Roberts was arrested earlier this month in connection to the killing of Rachel Elizabeth Imani Buckner.

The 27-year-old victim’s body had been found wrapped in black plastic bags and duct tape near the Alameda shoreline in July.

Court documents state that her head, hands and feet had been severed from the body, with those specific parts yet to be located. Officials say the 42-year-old Navy veteran’s DNA was found on the duct tape used to envelop Buckner’s body.

The victim’s phone and car had been in Robert’s possession long after her death as well. The suspect had never even filed a missing report for his fiancé.

Roberts portrayed himself as an advocate for men who had been falsely accused of sexual harassment.

As a Savannah State University student, the suspect had been accused of sexual harassment by three different students. The Alameda County District Attorney’s Officer has filed murder charges against Roberts.
