18-Year-Old Woman Killed By Her Male Friend After She Playfully Pulled His Ear

This story is so sad! An 18-year- old woman has lost her life after her trusted friend beat and stabbed her to death after she mistakenly triggered him.

According to KLTV, authorities were notified of the disappearance of Deja Hood,18, when her mother, Lakeeta Jordan, contacted Tyler police.

Jordan reported she had not been able to contact her daughter since Monday when Deja went out with friends. Jordan told investigators that Deja may have been with a friend named Jamaurea Britton, 19. According to investigators, her mother said it was very “out of character” for her daughter to disappear without responding to calls or letting people know where she was.

Jamaurea was later contacted by police, at which point the affidavit states he told them that on Monday he picked Deja, and a 1-year-old child she was caring for, up at her apartment so that she could help Jamaurea pack up his apartment in preparation for a move.

When they arrived at his apartment, Deja walked out to talk to someone and ended up leaving with the child. Later that day, Deja and Jamaurea linked up again at his apartment, but this time things took a drastic turn. Deja pulled on Jamaurea’s ear playfully, but this triggered him because his girlfriend apparently did the same thing.

Jamaurea admitted to going into a “fit of rage” and beating Deja with an object and strangling her. Believing Deja to now be dead, he saw that Deja was still alive and stabbed her with a kitchen knife before wrapping her in trash bags, tape and a large bedsheet. Jamaurea then allegedly tossed Hood’s body over a fence and later covered it with leaves in an attempt to hide it.

Jamaurea admitted all of this to the police and was arrested and charged with murder. His bond is currently set at $1 million.
