Man Who Allegedly Sexually Abused Children At Wife’s Daycare Sentenced To Home Detention

Do you remember James Weems Jr., man who was shot by his wife for allegedly sexually abusing kids at her daycare.

Well, a judge just ruled that he can be sentenced to home detention as he awaits trial. What’s ironic is that his wife was sentenced to 4 years for shooting him over the accusations.

According to multiple reports, Weems remains held without bail but has been placed on “Level 3 Home Detention.” The court said he is not to have contact with children, victims or witnesses.

Weems, a former Baltimore police officer, is accused of molesting at least three children at his wife’s daycare. Shanteeri Weems was sentenced to four years in prison for shooting her husband in a Washington D.C. hotel room after learning of the accusations.

One of the kids told their parents that Mr. Weems had showed them pornography and touched them inappropriately.

When police searched his browsing history, the links matched what the child was saying.

He was charged with three counts each of sexual abuse of a minor, second-degree assault, third-degree sex offense and fourth-degree sexual contact, along with one charge for displaying obscene material to a minor.
