Jussie Smollett Loses Appeal For His 150-Day Jail Conviction
It looks like Jussie Smollet will most likely be heading back to slammer! His attempt to appeal his conviction was officially unsuccessful after a judge’s panel ruled against him.
According to TMZ, a panel of 3 judges voted 2-1 to uphold Jussie’s conviction. As you all know, he was sentenced to 150 days in jail for lying about being attacked by racist white men in Chicago.
He was originally convicted in 2022 and served 6 days, but was released while the appeal was pending. Now that his fate is sealed, he will more than likely be sent back to slammer to serve out his time.

Last month, Jussie Smollett checked himself into a rehab facility. A representative for the actor said the last few years have been very tough for him. “Jussie has had an extremely difficult past few years.
He has quietly been working very hard for some time now and we are proud of him for taking these necessary steps,” the rep said in a statement.
Although he’s tried his best to merge back into his celeb world, critics have been very vocal about not wanting to see him on any platform following the scandal.
