Kansas City Radio Station’s Host, Lisa Lopez, Lost Her Life In The Shooting That Happened At The Chiefs Super Bowl Parade
A shooting that happened after the Kansas City Super Bowl parade left one dead and several others injured. A Kansas City radio station said that the person who was killed was one of their DJs.
KKFI 90.1 FM confirmed on that DJ Lisa Lopez, host of Taste of Tejano, died earlier in a shooting that took place after the Chiefs parade and rally, according to Fox News.
Lisa was one of at least 23 people who were shot shortly after the parade was over.
‘Nine of those wounded were children, but all were expected to survive.’
“It is with sincere sadness and an extremely heavy and broken heart that we let our community know that KKFI DJ Lisa Lopez, host of Taste of Tejano lost her life today in the shooting at the KC Chiefs’ rally,” the radio station shared on Facebook.
”Our hearts and prayers are with her family. We encourage anyone who feels they saw something to reach out to law enforcement at 816 234 5111.”
Police detained three individuals, but no arrests have been announced yet.
