Devin Haney’s father Bill Haney, is not letting his son’s loss in the recent boxing fight against Ryan Garcia take away his pride.

Bill got into an heated argument while on live with retired boxing icon Floyd Mayweather. The back and forth got personal and lasted some minutes.

“You need some help?” Floyd asked, taunting the freshly wounded Haney toward the end of their video chat. “You needed some help the other night. If [Devin] needs me, I’m going to be there for him. Anytime I help with Devin, it’s total love, period.”

Bill undermined Mayweather’s 50-0 professional boxing record, and claimed that Devin Haney allegedly beat Floyd in a sparring match.

“If your son is undefeated in the gym, congratulations. Congratulations that you got an undefeated fighter in the gym I’m an under the lights type fighter. Bill, let me ask you a question. What’s my record under the lights?” Floyd asked

“But listen, what’s your record in life?” Bill asked in response. “My record in life is undefeated,” Floyd replied.

“Flexing that punk ass 50-0, I’m 50-0 on these streets. I got love in these streets. F-ck your 50-0 with that boxing sh-t, that sh-t don’t mean nothing,” Bill fired back.

For context, Devin Haney used to train at the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas and was long mentored by Mayweather before ultimately leaving to seek his own path. During his time with Floyd, he promoted the unbeaten champion around the same age and weight class, Gervonta “Tank” Davis.
