Doja Cat Clarifies She Wasn’t Dissing Cardi B Or Anyone On New Song ‘Acknowledge Me’

We previously reported that Doja Cat dissed Cardi B on her new track “Acknowledge Me” off her deluxe album. While it seemed like a clear shot at the Bronx rapper, Doja is clarifying that it isn’t.

“No one has done anything to me for me to even want to I begin to diss them. all my peers been nice as f*ck and and welcoming of me,” Doja Cat clarified on X.

“Please stop f*cking grasping for straws here. i dont play these games you all are playing. its incredibly childish and quite frankly the most depressing s’ ive ever come across on the internet. grow the f*ck up. i dont get in “rAp bEefS”,” she added.

However, some fans don’t seem to agree with her. “Classic white woman antics, throwing rocks and hiding those hands,” someone commented. “Sick of her throwing rocks hiding her hands,” another person echoed. “Armon been clockt her tea “Doja plays yt woman games” meaning she throws the rock then hides her hands,” someone else added.

On the controversial song, she raps “You out here actin’ like you sniffin’ on some Carly Rae/ Cartier on you, but you barkin’ like you Cardi B (Yeah-yeah)/ You ain’t stupid, but you probably ain’t as smart as me/ I told the concierge to change the lock for the apartment key.”

Some fans even interpreted the line as a diss to Offset. “Barking like u cardi bae” (offset) offset has a barking like adlib,” a fan claimed.

Previously, after several tracks from the project leaked, Doja took to social media to address speculation about her dissing Cardi B. She tweeted, “‘DISRESPECTFUL’ is one of my Top 3 [favorites],” to which a fan replied, “OK, but which one did you whack Cardi B on?” Within minutes, the “Say So” rapper replied, “None of them. Get a f**kin’ life.”
