Prison Worker Takes Pictures With Rod Wave After His Recent Arrest

Rod Wave was in the news after he was arrested for possession of ammunition or a weapon in Manatee County, Florida on Wednesday. The rapper then went viral after his arrest record shows his height and weight.

We previously reported that Rod Wave has been released from jail hours after being arrested in connection with a bar shooting.

However, while he was in prison, one of the staff appeared to be a fan and won’t miss the opportunity of having a picture with the rapper. The female prison worker took pictures with Rod and posted it online.

The pictures have since gone viral on social media, garnering reactions from netizens. “She should’ve sold this to TMZ because the way she’s about to get fired,” someone commented. “They was asking me to take pictures when I went to jail as well.. but mines was for my mugshot,” another person joked.

Rod Wave was subsequently charged with two counts of illegally possessing a firearm or ammunition as a convicted felon on Wednesday morning.

Speaking on Wednesday evening, St. Petersburg Police Department spokesperson Yolanda Fernandez said: “He was arrested on a charge that was later determined not to be accurate, so he was released.”

This investigation is still open, it’s still ongoing and we are still looking to arrest more people and additional charges could be forthcoming.
