Mother Kills Herself Amid Postpartum Depression 9 Days After Giving Birth To Twins

A mother in Massachusetts took her own life after battling with postpartum depression. She’d recently just given birth to a set of twins 9 days prior to her death.

Ariana Sutton, 36, was also the wife of police officer, Tyler Sutton, and the mother of an additional 4-year-old daughter, Melody.

Sutton allegedly suffered from severe postpartum depression after the birth of her first child, but the couple still decided to expand their family in hopes that medication would help with any future mental health issues.

The couple had a therapist and a psychiatrist lined up as well, but Tyler claims he didn’t expect the decline in his wife’s mental health to happen so fast.

Sutton passed away at her home on May 31st, just about a week and a half after the birth of her set of twins.

Tyler revealed that although the twins are healthy and due to come home in a few more days, they were born premature.

A GoFundMe has been set up for Ariana which has raised nearly $400k since it was posted. A statement from her family was released sending their prayers for their daughter and her children.
