NY Mother Mourns Toddler Found Dead In Hot Car
Mother Mourns 14-Months-Old Daughter After She Died From Being Left In Grandmother’s Truck For 8 Hours
A NY mother is mourning her 14-month-old babygirl after the grandmother left the child in the car for over 8 hours while she was at work.
According to NBC News, Chyasia Evans’ grandmother, 54, forgot to drop her off at daycare on Monday and went to work, leaving the child in a car seat in the back.
About eight hours later, at around 4:20 p.m., the child was to be picked up from daycare, when the grandmother realized she had left the child in her vehicle. The toddler was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Her mother, Jessica Watkins, held a candlelight vigil to honor her daughter and she tearfully explained how she would never be the same after this tragedy.
“I know you’re going to be my guardian angel and I love you until we meet again,” Watkins said. “I’m so defeated. I don’t know how to do this.”
“She looked cute, as she did every day,” Watkins said. “I got out of the car, I jumped to the back seat, I gave her a kiss and I told her, ‘I love you, princess.’”
The child’s aunt told the news outlet that when the little girl was discovered inside the truck, her body temperature was at a high of 106 degrees. She also claimed that the daycare never notified anyone that the child was not dropped off, which could have provided critical life-saving hours for the girl.
