Lil Nas X Isn’t Mad At Kevin Hart After Pressing Him For Being Gay
Lil Nas X Says He’s Not Upset At Kevin Hart Following ‘The Shop’ Interview
Last week, Kevin Hart was dragged for being homophobic after pressing Lil Nas X during an interview session on ‘The Shop’. Lil Nas X spoke about his decision to come out as gay, reflecting on his decision to do so while he had the top song in the country.
When Lil Nas X was asked about his choice to come out, Kevin Hart chimed in with some comments. “He said he was gay… so what!?” asked the comedian.

Lil Nas X responded by talking about the prejudices he had learned as a child, saying he was “growing up to hate this shit.” At this point, a number of voices interjected, including Hart, who asked, “Hate what? Hate what?”
When Lil Nas X spelled it out “homosexuality, gay people” Hart again asked, “Why? Why are you growing up to hate it?”
“Come on now,” said Nas X calmly. “If you really from the hood, you know.” He went on to explain that he wasn’t looking for attention, noting that since his song was on top of the world, it just made sense to make the announcement at that time.

Lil Nas X has finally responded to Kevin Hart pressing him on the interview. He revealed how he felt about the tense moments with Hart on The Shop and told the hosts of Hoodrich Radio! that he doesn’t harbor any ill feelings toward the actor.
“No, I’m not mad at Kevin Hart. I mean, like, a lot of situations like that, I just…I don’t try to get into that,” the rapper said. “I don’t try to get into these situations ’cause online I’m just here to be funny and laugh and [entertain.] I’m not tryin’ to get into…I’m not trying to put nothin’ in.”
I’m not tryin’ to say anything because when you say anything your words get twisted and you have to say something about that, and you have to say something about that. It’s just on and on, so I don’t even try to get into anything really. But no, I’m not mad at Kevin Hart.”

When one of the hosts said that if Lil Nas X isn’t upset, then the public shouldn’t be upset. “I’m not saying what anybody should be,” Hill added, maintaining that he just wants to enjoy his career without creating any waves.
