Jurnee Smollett-Bell Files For Divorce From Husband

Jussie Smollett’s sister Jurnee Smollett-Bell, has been confirmed to have filed to divorce her husband last week, after 10 years of marriage.

Jurnee reportedly filed for divorce from her husband Josiah Bell and cited “irreconcilable differences.” The couple shares one child together, 3-year-old son Hunter.

Folks online have been trying to figure out the correlation between the breakup of Jurnee’s marriage with her brother Jussie, current legal battles. A year ago Jussie Smollett claimed that he was attacked by a group of racists MAGA-hat wearing men. He claimed the men beat him, poured bleach on him and put a noose around his neck.

After a police investigation, the Chicago Police Department concluded that Jussie staged the attack and charged him with filing a false claim. After the filing, many who originally supported the actor turned their backs on him, but not his sister Jurnee.

Jurnee stood by him and defended him against any and everyone who thought he deserved jail time. She took a lot of heat for defending her brother and many believe it may have cost her, her marriage.

In the act of defending Jussie, she also traveled the country with him and spent a considerable amount of time away from her family. It was around this time that the once picturesque happy family seemed- less happy. They both stopped posting pictures of each other on social media, and the word around Hollywood was that their marriage was in trouble.
