J Cole now stands a chance of seeing his NBA dream come true if he ends up being impressive during his tryout with the Detroit Pistons, he has a chance to earn even more practice runs, which could eventually lead to a 10-day contract or a longer stint in the league.
The rapper’s sudden interest in joining the NBA has been a hot topic in the entertainment world. Although age is not on Cole’s side, the 35 years old seems determined to make his childhood dream come true.
Acccording to former NBA player Larry Sanders, in an exclusive interview with TMZ, he believes J Cole has a real chance to make the NBA. “I do [think he has a shot],” for real,” Sanders who played in the NBA for six seasons said.
While Hip Hop fans are happy about the foreseen positive outcome, those whose life has been all about the NBA are not quite impressed amongst which is Danny Green’s brother Devonte.
Devonte Green, a four-year player from Indiana who is not currently expected to be chosen in the draft, said that if he knew rapping would get him a better edge in the league, he’d have spit some bars too.
