Body-Cam Footage Shows Moment Ex Officer Released K9 On Unarmed Black Man During Traffic Stop

New bodycam footage shows the moment an officer released a K9 on an unarmed black man in Ohio.

23-year-old Jadarrius Rose was stopped by officers on July 4th over a missing mud flap. During the stop, officer Ryan Speakman released the K9 on Rose after he claims Rose ignored his commands to get on the ground.

‘He didn’t comply. I gave him three commands. I told him, “Final warning if you don’t get on the ground you’re going to get the dog,’” Speakman can be heard saying to another officer.

What makes this even crazier is that there was another officer on the scene yelling for Speakman not to release the dog if Rose’s hands were up. Speakman, then questions his own actions.

‘I don’t know why they seem mad at me. He wasn’t complying. I mean, am I wrong?’ ‘No,’ another colleague can be heard responding.

Surely there were other ways to get Rose on the ground without using the dog. Speakman had initially been placed on leave, but was later fired on July 26th. He reportedly begged his superior not to take his best friend (the dog) from him over the incident. But they took that dog and his title.

As for Rose, he says fear prevented him from stopping right away when being pulled over. As for the incident, Rose says, ‘I just didn’t want to lose my life or lose my arm.’
