Mona Scott-Young Says She Wasn’t In On Firing Erica Mena

Mona Scott-Young is setting the record straight about Erica Mena’s firing on ‘Love And Hip Hop: Atlanta’.

While talking with Angela Yee, Mona made it clear that she didn’t explicitly have a hand in Erica’s firing because she’s not as involved in LHHATL like she was in the past.

Mona says she understands how it looks, given that she was the face of the show for years, but as of now, the show runners are the ones pulling the strings along with the network.

When it comes to the Erica and Spice incident being shown in the episode, Mona doubles down that she doesn’t even see the clip before it airs.

“The network put out this statement and they handled it,” she said to Angela Yee.

“So people are coming to me and what they don’t understand is, at this point, I see the show on the same basis that they see the show. So you can see I’m not involved with the cuts anymore. I’m not on the field. The cast will tell you this. I’m not day to day on the franchise anymore.”

We previously reported on a clip that surfaced of Erica Mena claiming people wanted to be offended by her remarks. “There’s not a racist bone in my f-cking body, I’m just as Black as probably all of you,” she said.
