Police Fear Trafficking Or Gang Activities After Over 1,000 Kids Are Reported Missing In Ohio

Police in Ohio are worried that children are possibly being trafficked or involved in heavy gang activity after the missing number of children for 2023 reached 1,072.

For the month of September alone, 50 children have been reported missing so far.

Police say the rate at which they are disappearing is unusually high. Police say the children could be runaways, but unfortunately, they are struggling with the demand of anxious parents to locate their children.

“For some reason, in 2023, we’ve seen a lot more than we normally see, which is troubling in part because we don’t know what’s going on with some of these kids,” said Police Chief John Majoy.

Sherice Snoden, whose 15-year-old son Keshaun is missing, said yesterday at a community search for him: ‘It’s been over forty days without my child. I just want him back home.’

Police are urging anyone with information about any of the missing children to come forward.
