17-Month-Old Special Needs Boy In ICU After Ohio Police Raid The Wrong Home While Using Grenades

A special needs 17-month-old baby boy is in the ICU after Ohio police raided the wrong home.

According to several reports, police were looking for a teen on weapons charges when they raided Reida Jennings home. Jennings’ niece and her 17-month-old son who has a heart defect, were visiting from Kentucky.

The toddler was awaiting open heart surgery that is scheduled for next month.

Police threw two flash bangs through the window. The grenades hit near her son, who was sitting in a swing near the window, and covered him in glass and smoke. The child’s mother says she couldn’t grab her son because guns were pointed at her.

Her son now has chemical pneumonitis which is inflammation of the lungs and irritation of the lungs and the soft tissue around the lungs.

Obviously, the suspect was not found at the home. Police say they announced themselves before entering. The home’s owner believes the person the police are searching for may be a previous tenant of a previous owner of the home.
