As we previously reported, Maiya The Don became a trending topic on Twitter following her energetic performance at the Rolling Loud CA over the weekend.

Maiya was met with mixed reactions from fans after video of her ‘Dusties’ performance surfaced online. She was praised and at the same time body shamed on twitter.

Some Nicki fans who thought Maiya pitched tent with the Queen’s enemies used it as an opportunity to bully her. Just in, the Brooklyn spitter has now clarified that she’s never said anything bad about Nicki Minaj.

“If only u didnt shade nicki back then barb would support u ! see the importance of choosing the good side or not choosing at all?” a Nicki fan wrote to which Maiya responded, “I’ve never said anything bad about HER to this day. I’m not gonna keep having the same conversation to make yall feel better.”

She continued, “I have an AMAZING support system that has gotten me so far, im very happy’ its so much easier to admit that you enjoy me, than fake hate me for no reason.”

Maiya as well received support from fans amid the bullying. “Look at Maiya the Don mopping the stage with the tears of her haters. What a time. @maiyathedon stay focused, boo! They could never!” a fan wrote in her defense.

Maiya The Don rose to stardom back in October 2022 following her viral “Telfy” hit. Last year, the Brooklyn rapper dropped “Dusties” which turns out to be another hit.
