Wife Of Baltimore Bridge Collapse Survivor Says Workers Were Taking A Break In Their Cars When The Ship Crashed, Doesn’t Know If They Were Warned

Wife of Baltimore bridge survivor, Julio Cervantes, speaks out that the group of construction workers were on break during the collapse of the Baltimore  Francis Scott Key Bridge this past Tuesday.

“All of the men were on a break in their cars when the boat hit. We don’t know if they were warned before the impact,” Cervantes’ wife told to NBC Anonymously.

Julio Cervantes is one of the survivors from the Baltimore Bridge Collapse and was luckily rescued alongside with another coworker. 4 of the 8 workers still remain untraceable. Cervantes was taken to the hospital with a chest wound and was released the same day, his wife said. The other worker rescued Tuesday, was in good condition and refused treatment.

The call audio, which Broadcastify released, showed how quickly police stopped traffic and secure the bridge! These actions most likely saved many lives. They also tried to notify the bridge’s construction crew.

Uncertain about the crew’s precise position, one of the officers on the recording advised calling the foreman to temporarily relocate the workers. Another officer said that they planned to speak with the workers on the Key Bridge as soon as more law enforcement officers showed up.

An investigation is underway to find the cause behind the incident but expected to take one to two years! According to the National Transportation Safety Board. More information to come.

“Lord wrap your arms around all those families looking for answers,” someone commented. “They did not make this bridge right cause it’s no way,” another person wrote. “Sue the whole city and get your coin,” someone else added.
