Young Thug Tells His Mom Not To Cry And Stay Strong While In Court

Since May 2022, Young Thug has faced mounting legal troubles. He has been held without bail in the Fulton County Jail on remand due to being charged with violating the Georgia RICO Act, as well as a total of 56 counts of illegal substance trafficking or firearm possession charges.

Young Thug, real name Jeffery Lamar Williams, was arrested alongside 27 other members of YSL on gang-related charges. He has been denied bail four times, and Business Is Business was released during his incarceration.

A video from Thugger’s ongoing trial is currently going viral, the clip shows the moment Young Thug told his mom not to cry and stay strong while in court. He communicated with her using sign language after spotting her in tears.

“No matter how gangster you are mama and kids will make you soft,” someone commented. “New hit ” don’t cry mama” ft future and metro booming,” another person wrote. “30th court appearance and nothing yet… Shyt so pointless,” someone else added in reaction to the unending trial.

Couple weeks back, Yak Gotti’s attorneys estimated Young Thug’s YSL trial may go on until 2027 unless they limit the number of witnesses.

Defense attorneys E. Jay Abt, Douglas Weinstein, and Katie A. Hingerty asked Judge Ural Glanville to use his “broad discretion” to assert “reasonable control” over trial evidence by limiting the number of state witnesses, per Law and Crime.

According to the defense, this is ‘simply untenable’ for both the defendants held behind bars during trial and for the judge. The defense added that an additional 360 witnesses “would cause unnecessary delay, would be a waste of time, and would amount to needless presentation of cumulative evidence.”
